In today’s episode we will be going to explore THE HINDU’s editorial “Withering highs” for words with rich vocabulary.

Word 1

Conundrum 

Class : Noun

Meaning : a confusing and difficult problem or question

Synonyms : Riddle, Problem

Antonyms : Solution, Answer

Example Sentences:

one of the most difficult conundrums for the experts

I can’t seem to see a clear answer for this conundrum and therefore it sidetracks me and taunts me.

 

Word 2

Tardiness 

Class : Noun

Meaning : the quality or fact of being late; lateness.

Synonyms : lateness, delay

Antonyms : alacrity, Punctuality

Example Sentences:

forgive my tardiness, I had some very important business to attend to

This tardiness in authorship is a significant fact in his life, in harmony with his tempered wisdom.

 

Word 3

Ghats 

Class : Noun

Meaning : a flight of steps leading down to a river.

Synonyms : ridges, Staircases

Antonyms : dribble, drip

Example Sentences:
